You do. You approve on a render, then the pattern and tech pack are delivered to you. And if you order production, the platform sends the file set straight to the workshop — nobody copies your design along the way.

Yes — that's the heart of the service. The only rule: an original design, drawn or generated, never a copy of an existing garment. You certify it when posting.

Three revisions are included, each with a written reason so the pattern maker knows what to fix. Beyond that, or if you disagree, either you or the pattern maker can open a dispute: the team arbitrates — work continues, a refund, or a split between the work done and a refund. Your payment is held until you approve; if you don't respond, the delivery is approved automatically 7 days later, after two reminders.

The amount they will receive is shown before they accept, payment is collected before they start, and paid out on approval: through Stripe where available, otherwise by Wise transfer in euros within 5 business days, fees paid by Patterngain. No haggling.

It depends on the category, counted from when a pattern maker accepts: 5 days (basic), 7 days (standard), 10 days (complex), 14 days (technical). You follow progress live. If nothing is delivered 7 days after the due date, you can cancel yourself and get a full refund.

The production file travels through the platform — that's our model, and your protection. Partner workshops reply with comparable quotes, and you choose freely among them.

Your card is only charged when a pattern maker accepts your brief. Before that, you cancel it yourself from your account and nothing is taken; if nobody accepts within 6 days, the brief is cancelled and the reservation released automatically. Once accepted, work has started: a cancellation request goes through the team, which sets the share due to the pattern maker for the work already done and refunds you the rest.

On a verifiable portfolio and a short video call with the team, or after a first brief approved without dispute. Verified pattern makers can accept a new brief during its first 2 hours, ahead of others. No payment can buy this status or a place in line.
